Herolds' Hangout

Thoughts, Reminders, and Reasons to Brag...

From Goldfish to Jellyfish

I took Skyler to his swim lesson today and he graduated from Goldfish to Jellyfish at the end of class. He was so excited when handed his Goldfish completion ribbon. Also, Josh started his job orientation today at Home Depot.

Carving Pumpkins

My parents came over last night and we decided to get some pumpkins and carve faces into them. Skyler was a little grossed out by the “pumpkin innards”, but had lots of fun helping. I made the scary face, my parents made the traditional face, and Renea made the happy face.

San Francisco

Last weekend, Renea and I took Skyler to the Bay Area and spent time with Uncle Bill and Aunt Janie. Skyler loved meeting his 4th cousins (once removed), Maceo and Jacob. The weather was a nice change from the 100+ degrees in Phoenix. Lots of photos were taken.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Right now, Skyler and I are watching some YouTube videos. We just finished It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! It brought back memories of watching it on TV.

We started because Skyler was upset and kept saying he wanted pumpkins. I didn’t know exactly what he was asking for, but I immediately thought of the Peanuts show. It was enjoyable, watching his expressions as the silly characters played out on the computer screen.

I Voted Today!

I just filled out my early mail-in ballot for this November’s Elections! Earlier, I watched Sarah Palin and Joe Biden debate on the economy, energy, and foreign affairs. I thought Governor Palin did awesome and really showed everyone that she can handle the job as vice president.

The only bad thing about voting early is you don’t get the little sticker they give you that says “I Voted Today”, so here is my online version:
